Act sustainably and protect the environment with “Green Atmospheric Gases”

Geretsried, 16/05/2023

Air gases produced with electricity from 100 percent hydropower are expanding Tyczka's industrial gases portfolio: nitrogen, oxygen and argon are now available as now also available as “Green Atmospheric Gases” for tank systems. Industrial users can now improve their environmental standards and their CO2 balance.

For the production of technical gases from liquified ambient air, the manufacturer Tyczka's air separation plant in Braunau-Ranshofen, Upper Austria, uses electricity that is Braunau-Ranshofen in Upper Austria as part of its sustainability strategy, 100 percent of the electricity from Austrian hydropower. Tyczka is now offering this advantage with a new portfolio of certified “Green Atmospheric Gases” to customers on both sides of the river Inn, as Dr. Frank Götzelmann, spokesman for the management of the Tyczka Group emphasizes:

“The environment and sustainable action are of the utmost importance to us as the Tyczka Group Group, which is why we want to take smaller and larger steps to make our value chain more and more sustainable and also consciously offer our customers the option of choosing a green alternative.”

Certified according to TÜV SÜD standard

The CO2-reduced production process for green nitrogen, oxygen and argon is documented by official certification: The internationally active technical testing organization TÜV SÜD, headquartered in Munich, comprehensively tested the production process in accordance with the standard CMS 89 “Balancing the use of renewable energies”. The certificate guarantees that the necessary requirements are met and verified.

Tyczka passes this certificate on to the purchasers of Green Atmospheric Gases. Thus improve their own carbon footprint and produce future-oriented products for their own customers.

The range of Green Atmospheric Gases includes nitrogen (N2), oxygen (O2) and argon (Ar) in cryogenic form for tank systemsIn terms of quality and purity, they correspond exactly to the conventional, “non-green” Tyczka products and, like these, are also available in food quality or as food gases in accordance with DIN ISO 22000. In order to use Green Atmospheric Gases, no conversions or changes to the production process are necessary.
